The dangers that emanate from a relativization of Nazi injustice – no longer only by neo-fascists, but also by conspiracy ideologues and right-wing populists – have become particularly apparent in recent events during protests against the COVID-19 measures. In a time in which it remains crucial to position oneself clearly against forgetting and relativization, the Theater of the Young World Leipzig (TDJW) is developing the three-part project "MIRROR // MIRROR" over the course of a year. In cooperation with various cultural, political and scientific institutions as well as artists, aspects of the history of Nazi injustice in Leipzig and contemporary forms of right-wing radicalization will be negotiated in interdisciplinary and transmedial formats.
»MIRROR // MIRROR« includes these three project parts:
- 1) ON THE OTHER SIDE
- 2) TRACING REMEMBRANCE
- 3) THE FUTURE IS YOURS
Project team:
- Production management and social media: Anja Stopp
- Dramaturgy: Florian Heller
- Theater mediation: Thomas Blum
